Workshop Details

Depending on the retreat, there will be roughly 3-4 workshops per retreat.

These workshops do not replace formal training and certifications. They include a condensed curriculum on each subject matter and are intended to expose, teach, empower, and encourage more learning. ALL of the curriculum in these workshops are reviewed by multiple professionals per field (snow, health, adventure) and are taught by a variety of people.

Snow Workshops

  • This workshop covers the tools and processes for planning a remote trip. We'll cover what logistics, planning, skills, gear, and emergency considerations went into our trip, top to bottom.

  • This workshop covers abbreviated glacier travel techniques and a day on crevasse rescue.

  • This workshop covers avalanche companion rescue with multiple burial scenarios.

  • This workshop covers a wide-range of snow science topics that are driven by group interest.

  • This workshop covers different terrain features in Alaska, reading terrain on the uphill and downhill, travel techniques, and big mountain riding components and skills.

  • This workshop covers various weather tools and uses, how to read weather, and forecast for areas outside of your covered zone.

Health Workshops

  • This workshop covers how our circadian rhythm works and the effects of light, sleep, and stress on that system.

  • This workshop covers our fast-pace changing relationship with electronics and how to work more efficiency and positively with them. We'll cover efficiency apps, health and wellness tools, AI tools, etc.

  • This workshop covers various types of yoga; movement, meditation, breathwork, and nidra

  • This workshop covers how the nervous system works, the importance of regulation, and different ways in which we can draw awareness to it.

  • This workshop will involve a local cook introducing and cooking with local, fresh foods, providing a cultural immersion and offering alternative cooking techniques to bring to your own home.

  • This workshop covers different ways in which we can use writing as a method of self expression and to help regulate ourselves.

Adventure Workshops

  • This workshop covers the basics of planning an adventure. We talk through weather, locations, travel hacks, gear, and different skillsets and certifications you can pursue.

  • This workshop covers nervous system basics, the effects from adrenaline and adventure long term, drawing awareness to where we're at while adventuring, and tips on how to bring ourselves back from an unregulated state.

  • This workshop covers local flora and fauna and some medicinal uses.

  • This workshop covers very basic aviation maintenance. Well talk about what tools are most important, what you can legally do and cant do, how to do a few of those things, and tips and tricks on maintaining your airplane long term.

  • This workshop covers ski flying safety basics. We'll talk through performance, emergency situations, weather, packing, airplane differences, and reading glaciers.

  • This workshop covers whitewater basics. Depending on the group we can cover anything from reading whitewater to planning a multi-day river trip.
