Custom trips · Unplugged
Leave the signal behind.
Fully guided, technology-free ski, river and photography trips in Alaska’s backcountry. No screens, no notifications — nothing between you and where you are.
Why unplug
Most of Alaska’s backcountry has no signal anyway. On an unplugged trip, we make it a choice: devices are packed away on the first morning and stay away until the trip ends. What’s left is the light on the glacier, the sound of the river, and the people you came with.
What you get back
Attention
You notice the snow changing through the afternoon, the shape of a ridgeline, the person beside you — because nothing is pulling you away.
Rest
Days follow the weather, the light and your appetite. Sleep comes easily, and it’s the deep kind.
Connection
Long conversations at camp, shared meals, laughter on the skin track — without anyone reaching for a phone.
How an unplugged trip works
- 01
Before you go
We plan every detail, so you can set your out-of-office and truly go dark.
- 02
On day one
Phones and devices go into a sealed bag that travels with your guide, untouched until the trip ends.
- 03
On the trip
Your guide carries emergency communication for safety — so you don’t have to be reachable.
- 04
Coming home
Our Mountain Mind Media crew films the trip, so you come home with the memories without taking a single photo.
